In a world of distraction, I approach making as an exercise in focus and patience. I explore uncertainty through trial and error. These principles are a framework. I build organic wooden forms, balancing hand-tool manipulation and machine work, blending sculptural aesthetics with functional design. Shapes and patterns in the wood grain inform what happens next. Defects are guaranteed; each knot or crack holds potential. Wood is unique in that way. No two pieces are the same. I construct my work to reflect that uniqueness.
